Last year, 14,148 volunteers chipped in more than 14,000 hours of time to the Forest Preserve District of Will County. By removing invasive species and collecting precious seeds for habitat restoration, these volunteers truly made a difference in improving the preserves.
Each year, there are ample opportunities to join the effort to enhance biodiversity in the District and to keep the preserves healthy and teeming with native flora and fauna for future generations. Upcoming volunteer workdays in 2016 include:
Seed Collection Workdays – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
