Description:
Anyone interested in local history will enjoy this insightful tour of the blue-collar origins of Joliet. Discover why Joliet has the nickname “City of Stone and Steel,” hear the stories of the men who worked at the site, and learn about iron and steel production during this fascinating tour. A naturalist will guide you through what remains of this once thriving industrial plant. Paved walks are easily accessible for all participants on the 1-mile tour.

Registration is required by calling 815.886.1467 by Thursday, May 25.

Paved walks are easily accessible for all participants for the 1.5-mile tour. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
