Description:
Join Master Naturalist and Forest Preserve Volunteer Steward Phyllis Schulte for this informative presentation on the monarch butterfly. Discussion topics will include reasons for the current decline of the migrating monarch population, gardening for monarchs, finding and raising monarchs, insects and diseases that prey on monarchs, and the Monarch Watch project. Schulte has also spent the last 16 years as a butterfly monitor for the Illinois Butterfly Monitoring Network. Time for questions will be available following the presentation.
Event Requirements:
Registration required. Visit friendsofwillcountyforests.org/native-plant-seminars to register. Space is limited to 30 participants.

This program will be held indoors in an accessible facility. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should call 815.727.8700, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
