This ongoing program runs from Saturday, April 12, to Sunday, April 27. Preserve hours are 8 a.m. to sunset.
Clean out the garage and make a difference by recycling your bicycle! The Forest Preserve District is collecting for Working Bikes, an organization that refurbishes and distributes bikes locally and globally as tools of empowerment. No bike is too old or rusty! Other drop-off locations include McKinley Woods — Kerry Sheridan Grove in Channahon and Monee Reservoir in Monee.

No registration required.
The bike drop is located on the southwest side of the parking lot on a flat, accessible surface. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
