This ongoing program runs from Saturday, March 1, to Monday, March 31. Preserve hours are 8 a.m. to sunset daily.
What exactly is a “spot of luck?” Let’s say a flash of good fortune in an otherwise ordinary moment. Spotting an owl on a neighbor’s roof or catching sight of a fox on the side of the road; we could go on and on. This March, grab some friends and family to test your luck and see what delights the preserve serves up on a scavenger hunt up and down the trail at Hammel Woods! The weather may bring you a snowy wonderland or a blanket of spring sprouts in the forest.
To participate, download the Goosechase app and search for the Spot O’ Luck Scavenger Hunt, then join. You also can join using join code D3LEC5. You also. Complete all seven missions to unlock the code, answer the riddle and earn a Forest Preserve District of Will County fidget spinner!
Event requirements
No registration required.
The challenge covers a 3-mile round-trip route over paved surfaces and is accessible for strollers, bikes and scooters. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
