Event details

April is a peak time for spotting salamanders. As the winter snow and ice melt, woodland ponds fill up and amphibians come alive. Join us to learn all about the mascot for Plum Creek Nature Center, Spot the blue-spotted salamander! We will find out what makes our mascot and other salamanders special, then head out on a hike in search of our amphibious friends. Will you be able to spot Spot?

Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. Be prepared for outdoor activities and a hike up to 1.5 miles on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain.  Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
