School’s out for summer! Kick off your summer fun at Monee Reservoir. It’s the perfect chance to try something new. Curious about kayaking? Try paddling with a free mini kayak overview with staff. Think you can get the next big catch? Try fishing with one of our free poles and bait samples available at the concession stand. Feeling lucky? Try some yard games with your family and friends. Hungry for more? Try roasted s’more by the campfire! The concession stand will also be open for food and beverage sales and boat rentals.

Event requirements

No registration required.

Paddlers must be 12 years or older to launch a personal kayak. Those younger than 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the water. Those younger than 12 may accompany an adult in a tandem kayak.

All persons in a rented canoe or kayak must wear a personal flotation device while on the water. Renters must be 18 or older and bring a valid driver's license or state ID.

Monee Reservoir is an accessible facility. Outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
