Want a little nature in your winter? Looking to explore the preserves? Get outside, trek the trails and enjoy the magic of the season! Join a naturalist at different forest preserves in Will County throughout January and February. This week, walk through a trio of habitats — prairie, woodland and wetland — at Hickory Creek Preserve.

Registration is required by Thursday, Feb. 20: 815-727-8700.
Please dress for the weather and use caution while hiking outdoors given the possible wintery conditions. Meet at the Hickory Hollow Shelter.
The hike will be at least 2 miles alternating between paved and natural surfaces over uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
