The Forest Preserve District is having a winter sale on its cool line of adult and youth T-shirts so you can refresh your wardrobe in time for warmer temperatures this spring.

Proceeds from all merchandise sales benefit The Nature Foundation of Will County, which funds conservation, restoration and nature education programs in the Forest Preserve District.

A new unisex shirt is now on sale for those who are participating in the District’s 2025 Be a Trailblazer outdoor challenge. The winter session ends March 1, but there are three more seasonal sessions to come so there is plenty of time to join.

Download the free Goosechase app to your smartphone, search for the Be a Trailblazer challenge and tackle some missions. More than $10,000 in prizes will be awarded randomly to participants.

For those who are looking for T-shirts that reflect their gardening passion, check out the shirts that say, “Sometimes I wet my plants,” “My milkweed brings butterflies to the yard” or “I like to play in the dirt."

Avoid sick or dead wildlife due to avian flu risk

Due to the detection of avian flu in Illinois, the Forest Preserve District is reminding visitors to refrain from touching or getting near dead or sick animals. Pets also should be kept from carcasses or feces and feathers of animals.
