Preserve history
The 39-acre Briscoe Mounds was acquired between 1937 and 1989.
The preserve is part of the Des Plaines River preservation system, which conserves more than 2,400 acres.
The preserve is adjacent to the State of Illinois' prehistoric Briscoe Mounds archaeological site.
