Preserve history
The 282-acre Fiddyment Creek Preserve was acquired between 2007 and 2008.
The preserve is part of the Fiddyment Creek preservation system, which conserves nearly 300 acres.

Natural resources
Fiddyment Creek Preserve protects a diversity of habitat, including forest, prairie, savanna, wetland and a portion of Fiddyment Creek.
Wildlife found at the preserve includes bird species such as the horned lark, turkey vulture, sharp-shinned hawk and ovenbird.
The preserve is also home to a variety of plant species, including frost grape, Canadian yew and blue-fruited dogwood.
