Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
The Forest Preserve produces an annual Comprehensive Annual Financial Report to present the financial activity of the District's various funds. In 2020, this report was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the 26th consecutive year. Employee compensation
In 2012, Public Act 097-0609 amended the Open Meetings Act to require employers participating in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund to post on their webites the "total compensation package" for each employee making over $75,000 per year. Retiree Health Insurance Trust Fund
The Forest Preserve District of Will County Retiree Health Insurance Trust Fund is an irrevocable trust established by the District's Board of Commissioners to provide other post-employment health care benefits for retired District employees through a single defined benefit plan.
