Winter in the forest is cold and quiet and may seem desolate, but there is still plenty of life if you know what to look for. Bundle up, grab your favorite mug and join a naturalist for a guided hike around Messenger Woods. Together, we will embrace the silent landscape while searching for signs of activity. After the hike, return to the fire and let us treat you to a cup of cocoa or joe.

Meet at the Hawthorn Grove Shelter. Be sure to dress for weather conditions as the program is completely outdoors.
The hike will be less than 1 1/2 miles on natural, uneven trails with inclines. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
