Event details

“Only you can prevent forest fires,” says Smokey Bear. But what about those not-so-wild fires? Fire used responsibly can be an important tool. Join our ecology coordinator for a presentation on why, when and how the Forest Preserve District of Will County uses fire as a tool for conserving and restoring the habitats entrusted to us. Find even more inspiration by viewing the “Smokey Bear: The Rudy Wendelin Collection.” Be sure to see all 19 pieces on display across participating nature centers through March 2.
