Event details

A local Boy Scout has organized a litter cleanup along a 3-mile stretch of Centennial Trail as part of their Eagle Scout project. Come out and help make a difference by supporting their efforts. Fresh air and exercise are included for all participants.

Event requirements

Space is limited; registration is required. To get started, complete this waiver. For information, contact Emily Kenny at 815-722-7364 or [email protected].

Please wear clothes appropriate for the weather, getting dirty and walking on wet soil. The ground will be uneven and covered with vegetation. Long pants, sturdy shoes and socks covering the ankles are highly recommended. Bringing water, gloves and snacks is recommended.

Work will take place on uneven terrain that is primarily a natural surface. The paved trail will provide access to the cleanup areas. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
