Rare and mysterious. Exceptionally unique. Wonders of the world. Are these distant lands or fairytales? No, these describe several preserves right here in Will County! On these naturalist-led hikes, discover the plants, animals and land formations that make up some of our most protected sites. Meet the Wonders of Will County in Evans-Judge Preserve. Connect to a biologically significant portion of the Kankakee River, renowned for its rich diversity of native aquatic species. Surrounding forest and savanna habitats boast unique landscapes and native plants.
Two sessions will be offered:
- Session 1: 9-10:30 a.m.
- Session 2: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Registration is required by Thursday, Aug. 8: 708-946-2216.
Parking is very limited. Please consider carpooling. Evans-Judge Preserve does not have bathroom facilities. Please plan accordingly.
The hike will be no longer than 1.5 miles and take place on natural surfaces that may be wet or muddy. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this workday should mention their request when registering, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the workday.
