Lambs Woods preserve in Lockport is closed because a large tree fell during Monday's storm and is blocking the parking lot.

Also, trees are down and partially blocking the trail in Hickory Creek Preserve and on the I&M Canal Trail north of Lockport and the Old Plank Road Trail between Haven and Wildwood in New Lenox. 

A tree fell on the picnic shelter in Kankakee Sands Preserve in Custer Township and damaged the roof. The preserve is open, but the shelter will not be rentable until it is repaired. 

Smaller branches are down throughout the preserves. The cleanup is underway and preserve visitors are urged to use caution over the next few days as Forest Preserve staff or contractors clean paths and parking lots of debris.
